DestroyerDivision 38.com is an extension of the Destroyer Division 38 Association,
which is the organization that keeps the shipmates of the division informed and together with a quarterly newsletter and annual reunions. The DesDiv 38 Association is comprised of the veteran men and officers who served on the four ships of the division during World War Two, their families, and their offspring who are now beginning to become involved.
This site is dedicated to the preservation of the history of this gallant division, which won a total of 36 Battle Stars for action in the three theaters of war, and to keeping alive the memories and traditions of the men and officers who served so bravely on these four ships.
The Destroyer Division38 Association is now recognized by the United States Federal Government, as well as the State of North Carolina, as a non-profit organization, and is exempt from Federal taxes under the Internal Revenue Code (IRC) Section 501 (c) (3).
Any and all donations received from members, private individuals, and corporations or businesses are tax deductible. Donors can deduct contributions they make under IRC Section 170. The Destroyer Division 38 Association is also qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devices, transfers or gifts under Section 2055, 2106, or 2522.
